Privacy policy
This policy covers the Velvet Pan AI Studio informational website and the private, personal-use YouTube analytics and competitor research system operated by the project owner. Contact: myvelvetpan@gmail.com.
1. Public website
This is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It has no sign-in, contact form, analytics script, advertising script, or application cookies. It does not request Google authorization or receive YouTube API data or OAuth tokens. Cloudflare may process connection and request information, such as IP addresses, as part of delivering and securing the site; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Emailing the operator shares your email address and whatever information you include with the operator and the email provider.
2. YouTube and Google data
The separate desktop or home-hosted tool uses YouTube API Services for read-only channel analytics and research. For an account explicitly authorized through Google OAuth, it can access channel information and analytics available under the permissions granted on Google’s consent screen. Competitor research uses publicly available channel and video information and statistics, not competitors’ private account analytics.
The exact data available depends on the APIs used and the permissions granted. The system is intended for reading and analysis, not uploading content, posting comments, or changing accounts. Google handles account authentication; do not send your Google password to the operator.
3. Purpose and processing
API information is used for personal channel performance analysis, comparisons, and competitor research. Authorized data is processed within the private desktop or home-hosted system, separate from this public site. OAuth credentials and tokens, if retained by the tool, enable its authorized API access; they must not be included in website files.
This website does not send Google user data to an AI service. The project name does not itself indicate that Google user data is shared with an AI provider. This policy does not authorize additional data uses or transfers beyond the private analytics and research purpose described here.
4. Sharing
The system is for the project owner’s personal use, not a public data service or a service for selling user data. API requests exchange the information necessary to obtain data with Google and YouTube. The public website is hosted by Cloudflare, and correspondence is handled through Gmail. These providers’ own privacy policies apply to their processing. No advertising or data-sale functionality is included in this website.
5. Storage and deletion
Data and authorization credentials retained by the private tool are separate from the public website. This policy does not specify an unverified fixed retention period, encryption implementation, or automated deletion schedule. Stored data should be kept only while needed for the stated purpose and handled in accordance with the applicable Google and YouTube API policies.
To request deletion of stored authorized data, locally retained reports, or authorization credentials, contact myvelvetpan@gmail.com, identifying the relevant account or channel without sending passwords or tokens. The operator may need enough information to verify the request. Removing access at Google stops future authorized access but does not itself delete copies previously retained by the tool; request their deletion separately.
6. Control and revocation
You can decline authorization or revoke the tool’s access at any time through Google Account permissions. Features requiring that access will then be unavailable until you authorize them again. Public YouTube information may remain available independently of account authorization.
7. Google and YouTube policies
The tool uses YouTube API Services. See the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service. Use of API data is subject to the applicable YouTube API Services Developer Policies.
8. Changes and questions
Changes to the tool’s data practices should be reflected in this policy before those practices change. The effective date identifies this version. For privacy questions, complaints, or deletion requests, email myvelvetpan@gmail.com.
